Current Status: As of June 2007 the request is still pending BATFE legal review. We contact the FTB on a regular basis to check on the status and will post new information as it is available. I sent a letter asking BATFE for a written status or the final ruling in Dec 08 - and followed with a few phone calls & emails. Will call on them in July and see if we can get a final answer (yes or no with a letter).
History: In June 2005 the TCA requested that the BATFE add the West Hurly manufactured .45 caliber Model 1928 TSMGs to the Curio and Relic list. Their initial response in Jan 2006 was very favorable and added all TSMGs to the C&R list. In Mar 2006 the TCA received a letter from the BATFE resending this designation for the West Hurley .45 caliber Model 1928 TSMGs because the required legal review was not accomplished.
